Coaching Objective

Skill Level: Beginner, Skill Development: Handles & Strength. The drill is an excellent warm up drill as part of practice. Slaps help you strengthen your hands and wrists. Taps help you improve your control using the part of your hands you use to dribble the ball. Wraps help you improve your ball control as you develop skills to control the ball when you can’t see the ball. You will develop your basketball skills quickly and master this drill by going as fast as you can. Handles are a form of exercise which stimulates your body to release ‘feel good’ hormones, or endorphins. These natural mood lifters will keep stress at bay and improve your mindfulness.
